Pride and prejudice

Dun be that mad, my friend.

Sorry to say, he's just Mrs Bennet.

Mr Darcy was never driven mad by Mrs Bennet -- she was just too far from being qualified to do so, same as him.

Mr Darcy was just annoyed.

Aiya, live with pride is not an offence my dear.
It is a dignity to our own personhood.
It is the attitude admired by modern persons.
yes, live without pride is a kindness; yet no one will give you appropriate returns but just to abuse such kindness.
Then why not that pride?
